Cooling the Thinking Brain

We often try running our lives with only our thinking brain. When we share the responsibility between our three brains, our hot heads cool down and life transforms! Try this practice before meals for better digestion.
Place the bottom of your palm on your third eye, the point between your eyebrows. This should land your middle finger on your Bai Hui point, center of your crown. This point is between the tops of your ears. While holding your hand here, stimulate your Bai Hui point. Breathe deeply. This is your “heavenly gate”, where the yang energy of the heavens enters your body.
Bring your other hand to your lower belly or pubic bone. On an inhale, gently pull up your perineum, your Hui Yin point, relaxing it completely on exhale. This is your “earthly gate”, where the yin energy of the earth enters your body.
Take several deep breaths, inviting in the ever supportive energy of heaven and earth to provide balance and calm. When the energy flows up and down your central channel (torso) like this, yin and yang energies can come into balance, soothing your nervous system.
Next, make a peace symbol with your hands, put your ears in the middle of the fingers, massaging up and down while breathing deeply. Then stroke your neck in a downward motion several times.
Guide the energy down into your heart, rubbing your heart center while breathing deeply. Leave your left hand here, and bring the right hand down to your solar plexus, rubbing a few times. Then bring the right hand to your lower belly, rubbing a few times. Feel your intuitive brain (heart center) and instinctual brain (lower belly) connected to your thinking brain, energy running harmoniously between these “three treasures”.
Breathe deeply and turn up the corners of your lips, sending a message of safety to your nervous system.
